About Us

Clear Lake Resort is a small, family-owned and operated resort in beautiful Rhinelander, Wisconsin. We, Rebecca and Cory West, take great pride in providing a high standard of service for guests seeking a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable getaway.

Our journey brought us from Missoula, Montana to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where Clear Lake Resort immediately captured our hearts—just as we know it will capture yours. We are raising our three children here, and we truly enjoy meeting each and every guest who stays with us.

From the peaceful mornings on the lake to the cozy evenings by the fire, it’s our joy to share this special place with you and help make your stay unforgettable.

Clear Lake Resort is a true four-season getaway, offering endless activities both on-site and throughout the Rhinelander area. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, there is always something to enjoy.

In the warmer months, guests have access to:
• Paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes
• Chaise lounges and a children’s playset
• A sandy beach with a clean, shallow shoreline perfect for swimming
• Fishing on Clear Lake, often rewarding and always a favorite pastime

As fall arrives, the Northwoods bursts into vibrant color. You can explore nearby hiking and biking trails, attend local fall festivals, or simply take in the beauty from your screened-in porch.

Winter and early spring offer their own adventures. ATV/UTV and snowmobile trails lead directly to the resort, and ice fishing on Clear Lake provides hours of enjoyment for outdoor enthusiasts.

  • Payment Options

    We accept payments in USD. We accept cash and the following cards:

    • Bank Card
    • Diner's Club
    • Discover
    • MasterCard
    • Visa 

  • Cancellation Policy

    • All hotel reservations require a credit card number to secure the booking. After choosing acommidation type, dates and booking reservation deposit is taken, and cancellation policy does apply. Clear Lake Inn & Resort reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee in the following conditions: 
    • Lodge Standard Check-in time is 2:00pm CST and check-out time is 9:00 am CSTs.
    • Motel Standard Check-in time is 2:00pm CST and Check-out time is 10:00am CST
    • Early check-in and late check-out are available subject to availability. Please contact the resort directly to request.
    • Motel Individual Cancellation, No-Show and Amendment Policy: Cancellation made 3 days prior to the arrival date or less forfit 1-night rental deposit charges will be applicable.
    • Lodge Individual Cancellation, No-Show and Amendment Policy Cancellation made 21 days prior to the arrival date or less forfit 1-night rental deposit charges. 
    • Group Cancellation (5 rooms/2 lodges and above): Group cancellation made 30 days prior to the arrival date  or less shall incur cancellation charges all rental 1st night stay.
    • All standard policies pertaining to hotel/ hospitality industry are applicable, when specific reservation policy is not mentioned in the “Reservation Confirmation” document.

  • Children

    • Children under 18 can stay in the room with their parents for an additional fee if room occupancy allows it.  
    • Babies and children under age 5 can stay free of charge. 

  • Parking

    Parking is provided as part of your reservation. Lodging guests are allotted parking at individule Lodges and Motel guests have 1 parking space per room. Additional parking is provided in the lot. If you have large trailers we will try to accomidate and direct you where parking is available.

    • 4 hours for a fee of 15 USD
    • 1 day for a fee of 30 USD
